I have ALWAYS loved cats, but growing up with a brother who was allergic, and then my husband as well, I had very dashed kitty owning dreams. I started doing some research to see if there was any way to still make this happen. I saw articles on the Siberian, and took my disbelieving hubby to try an allergy test and IT WORKED!! He had a small reaction at first, and then as time has gone on he now has no reaction at all. Because of this we were able to get our first girl Nannerpuss (less embarrassingly known as Grace). I was so impressed by her personality and the chance to be able to FINALLY own such an amazing cat that our family decided to become a small hobby breeder. We currently have three cats in our home in Oshkosh Wisconsin, and raise the kittens under foot. We feed only the best quality food, and never cage our cats. They are members of my family, with my little girl in charge of making sure they get play and pets, and our two little dogs get them ready for any canine companions. We have met amazing people through this experience, and have enjoyed the opportunity that the Lord has given us to be a part of the lives of these awesome companions and their wonderful to be owners!
"Luna -- might be the best cat I've ever met. I can't believe how she loves us. Like -- she is all OVER us. I think it's hysterical the amount of love she offers."
I just wanted to give you a brief update on the kitten now named "zhukov" after the famous Soviet WW2 general. He has become a very bold little monster after figuring out the dogs and learning how to negotiate our stairs. It took him about a week to decide to come up to the first floor on a regular basis. Last night he woke us up in bed by jumping on us anytime we moved. He is extraordinarily fast and frequently gets his back feet in front of himself when running. He is friendly and wonderful and everything I hoped for.
